Ian is an entrepreneur, advisor, and lawyer who has managed the personal and business affairs for the Morton H. Meyerson family since 2007. Among other activities, Ian currently serves as President of 2M Companies, Inc., a Dallas based family office and business incubator where he is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of investments. 

Prior to joining 2M, Ian was associate general counsel for HBK Capital Management, a global, multi-strategy hedge fund.  While with HBK, Ian was responsible for negotiating and structuring complex domestic and international transactions.  In addition, Ian practiced law with Weil, Gotshal & Manges and with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld where he focused on private equity and venture capital related transactions.  Early in Ian's career, he was a financial analyst at Kirkland & Ellis and proudly served in the United States Marine Corp.  Ian earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting, with high honors, and a juris doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois.
