Tom Luce
Tom was a founding partner of Hughes & Luce, LLP, and he served as US Assistant Secretary of Education for Planning, Evaluation and Policy Development during the George W. Bush administration. After leaving the Department of Education in 2006, he was CEO of the National Math and Science Initiative, Inc. from 2007 to 2011.
Tom has been involved in a huge variety of activities; He served on the Board of Directors for Dell for over 20 years, he also served on the boards of the Texas Education Reform Caucus and multiple education, community and charitable organizations. In addition, the United States Senate appointed Mr. Luce a member of the Library of Congress Trust Fund Board where he served until 2005. Tom has also been appointed five times to major posts by Texas governors, including Chief Justice pro tempore of the Texas Supreme Court.
